"Before You Walk out of My Life" is a song by American R&B singer Monica. It was written by Andrea Martin and Soulshock & Karlin, and it was produced by Soulshock & Karlin for Toni Braxton's album Secrets but ended up on Monica's debut studio album, ''Miss Thang'' (1995). The song was released as the album's second single on August 3, 1995, with "Like This and Like That" serving as its double A-side side stateside. The single became Monica's second number-one hit on the ''Billboard'' Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, spending two weeks at number-one on the chart, and reached number seven on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number eight on the New Zealand Singles Chart.
